Morbs are only useful in niche situations. Combined with other critters they may allow you to cook surf and turf which are a really good food quality. Pacus require no labor or food to maintain but they require a large amount of algae for population growth. They become arguably more efficient than shove voles for food in that case, but are even worst for lime. They are terrible for meat and lime, but combined with automation they enable sustainable mushroom production. Pokeshells eat valuable polluted dirt and produce no meat but they are the best source of lime so they may be worth farming for large scale steel production. Pips can be used to produce dirt or to plant wild plants and are otherwise not worth scaling up. On another hand, they are the best source of plastic or fibre in the game. Burning their crude/petroleum will also produce minute amounts of water.ĭreckos are slow to breed and consequently they are worst than hatches for meat and lime. Overall, they produce a lot less fuel than hatches but their food is more easily renewable. They eat co2 instead of stone and they produce oil or petroleum as a result. Slicksters are equal to hatches for meat and lime. Depending of your priorities this may or may not be better than other options. Latter, you may build a regolith melter for sustainable feeding, or switch to another critter.Īs someone else pointed out, shove voles are the best for meat, but they are pretty mediocre for lime and they don't produce anything else. Their ranches are easy to setup and there is enough rock on a map to feed stone hatches for hundreds of cycles. QLM3-326232: Disease rebalance, overhaul on sicknesses. It's a good idea to build a lot of hatch farms early in the game because they are a great source of meat, a good source of coal for power and a decent source of lime.NOTE: The game says Slimelung starts dying at ≤10☌ and ≥100☌, but it actually starts declining at ≤20☌ and ≥90☌. Overpopulation : -13% / cycle (Inside Algae Distiller up to 29%).Other strong bases such as soda lime, sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, and lithium hydroxide are able to remove carbon dioxide by chemically reacting with it.

This is rather inconsequential due to low number of germs, but the coughing may interrupt jobs or sleep and can infect other duplicants who breathe in the polluted oxygen.ĭeodorizer can purify the Polluted Oxygen into Oxygen, and reduce the germ number. Additionally, ill duplicants will cough occasionally, producing a cloud of polluted oxygen at their feet containing 1000 germs each time. This stacks with inability to breathe due to lack of Oxygen in air, causing affected duplicants to be particularly badly suited to operating in low-oxygen environments. While ill, the duplicant will lose air at faster rate (-1% per second) than they passively regain it, forcing them to forcefully cough once in a while. While inhalation and surface contact with heavily contaminated materials can quickly infect a duplicant, consuming items with Slimelung has no effect (beyond the exposure from handling it). When Duplicants breathe the Polluted Oxygen infected with Slimelung germs, they have a chance to be infected at the start of next cycle. Slime tiles are generally generated infected and quickly infect surrounding solid tiles, then infect the nearby gases with puffs of infected Polluted Oxygen once dug out.

Large clouds of Polluted Oxygen may quickly become infected with dangerous amounts of this germ. Slimelung multiplies quickly in Slime and Polluted Oxygen, but dies in/on most other substances. Slimelung germs can be found in the Slime and Polluted Oxygen of the Swamp Biome.
